The Batman Unmasked

The release of the new The Batman animated show on KidsWB was heralded with a new line of action figures, including The Batman (with Zip-Action) and Bruce Wayne, who can be dressed up in Batman armor. Of course, I have both figures, along with the new version of the Joker (pics of him soon). Taking advantage of a sale at Target, I got a second Batman and Bruce, then switched their heads. This yields an Unmasked Batman figure (along with a Bruce figure wearing a mask, but no pics of him right now). The batarang attached to his wrist via a retractible line snapped right off of this figure, which is just as well, since I'm not really fond of the 'attached to the figure' accessories. If/when Mattel makes another Batman figure with a normal left arm, I'll be grabbing extras and making a switch.

This was a terribly easy custom, involving nothing but dunking the figures in near-boiling water for a few moments, then popping their heads off, dunking again to soften the plastic once more, then popping them back on. I should take a photo of all three figures, for comparison. By the way, having seen only a few episodes of the new show, I must admit I'm liking it so far. Let's hope there are more figures out soon!
